INSOMNIA COMES IN MANY FORMS
NOT ABLE TO GET TO SLEEP
This is due to an imbalance in the spleen and stomach meridian and organ. Mostly this is due to over thinking and excessive amounts of sweet foods and coffee.
WAKING UP BETWEEN 1-3AM
This is due to disharmony of the liver and gallbladder. Emotions such as anger or frustration, consuming alcohol or coffee, and being under stress will negatively affect the liver and gall bladder.
WAKING UP EARLY FROM 3 AM OR CAN’T GO BACK TO SLEEP
This is due to a disharmony of the kidney/bladder meridian and adrenal system. This type of sleep disorder is made worse by exercising after 5 pm, not eating properly during the day, getting your second wind and overworking. When we get a second wind it means adrenal is released, this will make it more difficult to sleep.
